POSTPARTUM DOULA

As a certified postpartum doula, I support you when jumping right into family life, whether it is your first child or you already have siblings.

I have the time to address your individual needs and support you in your new everyday life with a newborn. My expertise in pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period sets me apart from conventional domestic helpers.

I work in Kreuzberg, Friedrichshain, Neukölln and Mitte. I am happy to provide further information upon request.

DIFFERENCE COMPARED WITH A DOMESTIC HELP

A domestic helper provides support exclusively in the household and with basic cleaning.

As a postpartum doula, I take care of you and your baby. Thanks to extensive training in pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, I have specialized knowledge to provide you with optimal support during this time, matching your individual needs.

DIFFERENCE COMPARED WITH A MIDWIFE

As a postpartum doula, I don't have any medical function, nor do I confirm any diagnoses.

I can't replace a midwife, but I can support you in all other parts of daily routines.

I would be happy to work closely with your midwife and help you, for example, implement her recommendations.

DURING PREGNANCY

With a medical confirmation regarding medical necessity (indication), health insurance companies generally cover the costs of a postpartum doula during pregnancy.

ABSORPTION OF COSTS

A medical confirmation is required. This confirmation can also be issued by a midwife up to the sixth day after birth.

Many statutory health insurance providers cover the costs of a postpartum doula / domestic help based of section 24c 4/5 SGB V (every person who is pregnant, has given birth to a child, or is breastfeeding is entitled to benefits under sentence 1 free of charge, provided the other requirements are met) .

§ 24h SGB V (The insured person receives domestic help if she is unable to continue running the household due to pregnancy or childbirth and another person living in the household is unable to continue running the household.) .

§38 SGB V (household help in case of illness) – with additional payment of 5-10 EUR / day

If the criteria for reimbursement are not met, you can also book my services privately, with a fixed hourly rate.

APPLICATION HEALTH INSURANCE COMPANY

As the insurant, you submit the application for approval of domestic help/postpartum care to your health insurance company. You can have the application form sent to you; some health insurance companies also offer a download option.
